Not many so called expert handicappers are actually worth shit. Some of them i automatically toss whatever they like.

Longevity , studying the game and evolving with the constant changing trends. It really helps if you have a great eye for horseflesh, each post parade and scoredown you can eliminate 2 or three just on looks. I guess knowing trainers habits is key......its all trainers in harness racing. TBreds I dont stand a chace

Grandstand Handicapper isn't involved in the gambling world very much

his unawareness/ignorance about Elite Turf Club and how they operate is evidence of this

I have been following both Throughbred and Harness Racing for over 50 years. I've unsuccessfully owned both breeds during the 80's and 90's and am now only a amateur handicapper. I mostly look at flims to see the "trips" horses have had and the class they currently run in. Some trainer have "angles" that you can also watch. All in all, it's a lot of fun to handicap a winner. I always tell my fellow handicappers to "pick their own losers". It will feel a lot nicer when you "land" that winner.

Maggie Wolfendale at Nyra is very good. Giving selections more lately than just commenting on them physically. But when she says a favorite doesn't look good on the track, toss em.  The Mig also been very good. The rest are redboarders.

Mark at Mountaineer knows his stuff and has a huge history base at the Mountain

Public harness handicappers are dull and a waste of time.
