The main cut to Medicaid is a work requirement for able bodied working age people. Do you think such people should be on the government dole?
Let's not confuse Medicare with Medicaid. Medicare is for those over 65 years old or the permanently disabled.

This is why people like you aren't in Congress, these things are in the Bill. The tax on SS had to be addressed as a tax cut for seniors to go thru, as just a majority vote and not a 60% threshold!!!

The Medicaid would only be cut for WORKING AGE ABLE BODIED people, mostly in California.

Why did it take so long to do this??

Because democrats are highly susceptible to the disease TDS, it spreads easily among them, even just by being in the same room. Also please note democrats hate America.

For the upteenth time, there is no such thing as TDS!!

We agree to disagree on this!!

Again, the word “HATE”!!!

Can you please choose other words to get your point across!

The entire world has enough trouble in it and you continue to make things worse and not better by using that word!

Thank you

kantseeback.....t he "Big Beautiful Bill" is just that. For retirees and seniors, it will be a big help. And with the no taxes on overtime or tips now passed in the House bill, it will be a big boost for the GOP going into the midterms.

That is true talkstohisself. But if there is fraud and abuse found in audits, then measures must be taken to fix the system.

dougie I agree ss should never been taxed Reagan started it the Clinton bumped it up. I have not read all of the bill new most likely wont :P another thing that I hope thats in it raise the cap on what you can earn while collecting.  It sucked to give it back but as one ages the penalty  does go away

talktohisself.... .I agree with you. I never thought Social Security should be taxed. And I also hope they raise the cap for people who want to earn while collecting. The bill is a hard read. Very long and sometimes confusing. I think the Senate will "beat it up a little" before it gets signed by the President.

Foalin at 4.....i'm sure your correct. There was some in Congress who wanted to not allow folks who are "super rich" to get Social Securiy/Medicaid. But they could never agree on amount where that law would "kick in". So it remains what it has been. Except the new work requirements for young people without dependents will now have to work to get any real federal monies.
