For quite a while, he was only driving trotters. Recently, a few drives behind pacers. Do drivers prefer driving trotters over pacers as they get older?

The Answer to your question is yes. As they get older they may slow down and prefer trotters due to they tend to be safer with alot less accidents.
Not sure if Jeff is driving his own, getting them ready, etc., or he's picked up a few catch drives. Since his major accident/injury, and has he's gotten older (he's knocking on the door of 60 now, LOL), he was focusing more on training. Back in the day, when he was a catch driver, he won some big races. People may not remember Jeff picked up the drive on Chapter Seven and won the Breeders Crown with him as a 3yo for Linda Toscano. He was Chapter Seven's regular driver the year before as well.Regardless, one of the most underrated horsemen in the sport, and truly a top notch good guy. Always a gentleman and a class act.
