Canada in deep crapola!
« on: May 09, 2025, 04:20:33 PM »
Canada has announced their unemployment rate has jumped to 6.9%, the highest in eight years, outside of the pandemic years. The tariffs imposed by President Trump has the manufacturing sector losing an aveage of 31,000 a month. They need us a lot more than we need them.

talkstohisself, it was a calculated risk taken by the US. The tariffs imposed by Canada has been grossly unfair to the US for many years. Both sides should have zero tariffs and free trade only. That would be a great gesture from our "neighbor" to the north.

Same thing is going to happen to the people of the U.S.  Lots of empty container ships at the ports. Just wait.

Supporting a felon like Trump is as bad as supporting a felon like Case.

You are right Dougie, other countries have taken advantage of us for much to long. I want Canada to prosper, but not at the expense of the USA. Many countries are coming to the table because of the tariffs. Short term pain for long term gain!

Food for thought for 1 and all here;

How many millions of dollars has the United States lost due to the Canadians not traveling stateside as well as Buffalo New York and Western New York!
A significant fan base spends their money going to Buffalo Bills games too!

  • SwankToliverA: You're right Rainman, much more than Politics in life. Politics should not end friendships or any relationship really. Most ppl believe what they believe and their minds can't be persuaded. Imho

  • rainman2: yes---as i said earlier  more important things than political differences.  betting and owning horses among other things.  many other people in the world have gone through the same exact thing.  people have to learn from these experiences instead of harboring ill-will from them.  The world is screwed up because of thes things.
