PA Code Title 7-203.22 (a ) 203.22 (b) 401.2 (a)(1) 401.3(a)401.3 (b) Sean Bier was the
trainer of the horse YES for the 9th race on October 31, 2024 at Harrah`s Philadelphia
Racetrack .Blood samples drawn ( post race ) from YES were tested and found to contain
d-Methamphetamine. A split sample was sent to Industrial Laboratories and the presence
of d-Methamphetamine was confirmed . As the trainer, Mr.Bier is responsible for the
positive test. YES finished 1st , but has been disqualified and placed 8th . Purse money
earned ($3500) must be returned within ten days of this ruling. Due to mitigating factors
Mr.Bier is issued a 10 day full suspension ( April 24, 2025 up to and including May 3, 2025 )
and a $6000 fine (fines are due within ten days of ruling ). During the time of the
suspension,any owner/trainer transfers from Mr.Bier must be approved by the PSHRC.

DHRC Licensee Christine Crissman-Bier, having waived her right to a Judge`s hearing, and
being the trainer on record of the gelding LOVENBURY in race 15 on 1/30/2025 at Bally`s
Dover, with mitigating circumstances is fined $6,000 and will be under a 10-day FULL
suspension (4/24/2025 – 5/3/2025). It has been found that LOVENBURY had a positive test - Methamphetamine (see DHRC rule: 8.3.3.3.1). LOVENBURY is disqualified, all purse
monies to be returned. There will be a purse redistribution. All fines are due within 10 days
of receipt of ruling.
Status as of 4/23/2025 - Amendment - The transfer of related ownership and/or
training responsibilities, during this suspension, must be approved by the Presiding
So just to be clear, 10 DAYS FOR METHAMPHETAMINE!?!?! Shut down harness racing!! This is a DEA schedule 2 controlled drug!!!
