I get what you're saying but why get that close in the first place if your goal is to run out. Get locked in, follow dead cover, break your horse to avoid what he ended up doing.

He told the owner and get this the last 50 yards foot was bothering him so he RIPPED him to not hurt him. He's sold his soul. So again think. It isn't the first time. Is it ethical that any catch driver play buyers agent with horses he's driven???
Now the question is, just how far do I want to go with this???

Thanks for the info, Mike.
But I am flabbergasted that M1 and NJRWB have not made a statement reflecting "their conern for the betting public and harness fan"
yeah right.

agreed
and for those believing in the fairy tale he was trying to hold the horse together to prevent braking ???
i suggest at that point in the mile be it gambler, owner, trainer or driver i say let him roll and take your chances
you fuckin finished 5th anyway

hahahaha!!

Just my $0.02, I thought the horse was starting to hang just before Jason took hold of him. A bad look, but who knows the outcome if he persevered on the horse.

Of all people Joe Faraldo called this years ago. Not that he's any angel himself. But the self proclaimed leaders of "integrity" are full of shit. https://harnessracingupdate.com/2022/03/04/faraldo-on-gural-so-much-for-transparency-and-integrity-and-hello-to-more-bewildering-hypocrisy/

Does the OP have any prior run ins or issues with Jasin?

He wouldn't go on & on like this over a personal vendetta, would be?
We don't need to race, we do it for the love of horses & because we can. Great game if you have the means.
*3 y.o colt & filly have been top3 in their sire stake
*The 2 y.o's have shown a ton of talent & 1 just missed a sire stake win

Troll alert....aka chicken shit typer. First of all, I didn't start the whole lack of effort thing. Not even close. And if you listen "which you say you don't to what I say" I saw all this coming two years ago when Jason asked me to back off Josh Marks, Richie Banca and Mark Ford. Think I don't know they pressed him? He does have a lot to lose and at our last meeting I told him I get it and maybe we shouldn't talk for a while. UNTIL he threatened me, so if you call it a vendetta nobody gives a shit. The replay speaks for itself and the majority agree something isn't right. I know 100% Jason doesn't gamble. That doesn't mean he's innocent. Just drives you fucking nuts doesn't it, while you type on Horseplop I can reach OUTSIDE the business and get answers. This time the owners of the horse he drove contacted me. And they had PLENTY to say. Keep typing.....typing .....typing.....a nd accomplishing squat. Lemme guess, next is talk about my kids, family, I'm on welfare....blah, blah, blahhhhh.  ngc3

those pools are too small to make any money

horizontals like pick5 and pick6s would be the logical spots-but with Elite seeing every combination played before they send it in--it is probably not worth it

wagers outside the pools, offshore, bookies, etc would be the only way to make a big bet

why would Bartlett do this?
his explanation has a smell to it...obviously he grabbed him late-finishing 5th instead of 2nd

Doesn't matter who it is or whose money it is. There is your answer.

None of that matters to the $2 bettors. He should get banned for life for not beating the shit out of that horse

Bartlett was first call for those trainers. News flash every top driver in the industry has been first call for suspect trainers including John Campbell on Robinson horses. Maybe you missed this but when that top trainer finally gets caught the best drivers keep on driving for guys they had previously picked off there horses because they are best available

Dowse gets tossed. When was Per ever a number two in the country barn? Suddenly he's got a barn full of pacers and can't lose. Bartlett is the contract driver. Never missed a beat. I'm not going to keep repeating the obvious, but there are two common denominators. As for Per, the news should drop soon.

Do you want to bet if Bartlett ever wins another race once Per goes on vacation?  Per wins a lot of races but Jason wins 100x more every year and was winning before anyone knew Per’s name

looking at the horses race lines he has made breaks in the past....if Bartlett did not take a hold on him he runs like a reindeer.
You guys do not have a clue.....sit behind one that is sore or goes lame late in the mile before you castigate someone.....moron s

Missing my point, not disputing that. It's just coincidence that Gareth who everyone knows was fronting for JM. There was a pivot man there who spoke with Josh EVERY night. Gareth gets tossed and Per shoots to the top in less than a year. Not a beat is missed. The next pool should be who takes over for Per? His brother and business as usual?

Come on anyone with a set of eyes knows that's a stiff job plain and simple, and yes I have sat behind a horse multiple times. Coming around the final turn that horse was full of run, tipped 3 wide and had clear sailing. Bartlett hardly touched that horse. If he was working him down the stretch he wins by multiple lengths. Also that horse was 8-1 morning line and bet down to 8-5.Lots of red flags and like scm mentioned, who I don't agree with much,  this is not the first time. And no I didn't bet the race.
