If he gets 5 and 6 choice he will be a non factor.  Beckwith Athearn Ranger. I’m happy he is allowed to race again but I’m guessing he will struggle.  But he is Walter Case.  Who knows
Walter will do very well

He may get more than people think with all the Maine shippers. Most of the top drivers are committed to the bigger stables no matter if the horse is a longshot.

he will do well  he still drops that boot to rub up against that hock. its like he knows the camera angles so its hard to see. but he still does it and it doesnt hurt the horse.

He's not the driver he once was.  Wishful thinking that he passes Beckwith or Ranger.  ngc3 ngc3

Talent and ability was never a question with Walter. I don't know if he wants to go anywhere other than stay local. I wish him all the best for health, happiness, and sobriety.

As someone who watches him here in Maine, I think Walter will head south (about 2 hours) and find it will be tougher there. He will get his share of winners and make more money. A lot more. Purses here in Maine are a lot less that at Plainridge. As for his driving skills, I think that he still pretty good in the sulky. A lot of "young guns" will get a chance to see a legend of our sport. I'm not sure that anyone was better when Casey was at his best. I wish him luck.

When was the last time Case drove on a 5/8 mile oval. Or is that a non issue?

Since he's been back, he's been an average driver at best in Maine which won't cut it at Plainridge no matter what Jenny thinks.

If this is real and he starts making money. Gets on that sugar he won't be beat. I don't care if he is a 100 yrs old.
Let's get back to old Walter case and old Brett miller. They were the best.

If you've seen Case drive the past couple of years in Maine, he's lost the magic he once had and being in his 60's now, it ain't coming back anytime soon. You can't miss that much time and expect to be anywhere close to what you once were.
