Then why are you here? Hypocrite?
Some people who have so much anger, rage, resentment, etc., whether it be about a person, a group, a company, or an entire industry, whatever the case may be----they have become so engulfed and consumed by the anger, rage, resentment, etc.----in part, because that person, group, etc., shunned them. At least that's what they think. They were never part of the mainstream, success, etc. They felt they were never given a chance, never got ahead, were never successful, got jealous of others' success, were not embraced or welcomed, got fed up with mediocrity, and it built into dismay, and anger, and it kept getting worse. It's unhealthiness, dysfunction. It becomes innate. They condemn what they were never a part of. They spew venom, hate, anger, negativity, because it's all that they are. It seems like there are people who would rather see racing fail and cease to exist, only because they can't be a part of it.
Well this explains why I hate the world. FUXK EVERYONE!
Mike, don’t waste your time with these numbskulls
Ya, he spends alot of time on horselop, why I wonder, he hates horse racing (he was never good enough & never had the money to get into the game, no vehicle, no friends) He doesnt have much longer to go, gaunt & jaundice
Remember, even Mark Ford offered a service to rid yourselves of those pesky Standardbreds that weren't making any money. Scumbags. https://youtu.be/vnqUC1ZCbow
It's a Friday, you MUST have something you'd rather be doing I got 1 going tonight & 1 tomorrow night, they're in great shape and the 2 Yos be coming out soon. That's the funnest part, the stakes season...
Someone get a message to Schnittker. Right now he's literally under my office at Delancey's. Why doesn't he come up and see me? Ya know, instead of beating up someone else over me like a bitch.
I don't call this site garbage, but I do think it's overrun by hate, negativity, and the like. I love how people say the business can't be self-sufficient without "subsidies". No kidding. Next tell me it's Friday. So what's the point? Because it can't survive, so then what? It should be shut down? Does that give someone the right to feel good and about being negative, spewing hate, criticism, etc.? Does that make all the hate justifiable? All of that and not being contributory and part of the solution to actually make the sport and the industry better? That said, let's just look at this from a different perspective, and examine the monies, or subsidies, from the State. If these are subsidies, then what's the goal? Why give the monies? So the track doesn't shut down? Why do states and the US government give subsidies to----farmers, many other businesses, industries, and individuals as well. It is not a question of whether the recipient can survive without it. For farmers and the farming industry, States and the US government provides subsidies----non-repayment loans, free gap and stop-loss insurance protection and coverage (they pay cash when weather and/or insects damage crops and agricultural products), and yes, cash, they give actual cash! They also pay to further develop and build new and modern farming practices, conservation efforts and practices, disaster aid, and more. Sure, the horseracing industry does none of that equivalent, but eventually they will. States and the Federal government give subsidies to defense contractors as well. Don't tell me Haliburton can't survive without them. LOL.States and the US government gives----loans, tax breaks, and yes grants, to energy and energy development businesses. They also give subsidies to numerous manufacturing industries/companies. Same with the aviation industry/companies. Also broadband and telecommunication s companies. They do even more for the railroad industry. There is state and US government subsidies for education, private school tuition vouchers. How about a bit deeper, there are state and US government subsidies for housing. Is Medicaid and Medicare not a form of subsidy? Is Social Security? Sure, people pay into that, but there are people who pay into who can never collect. That's a redistribution of dollars. That happens every day. It's called taxes, LOL. So if you are calling for an end to all subsidies for the horseracing industry, why?People throw around the word subsidy, and say end them. There are reasons for subsidies, whether or not the recipient can survive without it. Anyone and everyone who simply states without casinos and state money the track would close, are simply saying today is Friday. What's your point? Do you want to see the track close? It's Friday, yes, and that might be factually correct. But, it's not Friday everywhere in the world right now. Regardless, the person who says that----no casino/state money, no track---they are not a supporter or a fan of this sport and are not a participant in this business. Just because they say it's Friday. They can say they are. But IMO they are not. They are part of the problem, because they are not part of the solution.
Perhaps you should tell that to Leticia James!
