thanks grandstandhorse certainly looked much improvedalso interesting time of the year to see some 3 yr olds coming back , most of who disappointed at 2 and some that cost a significant $$
I saw the horse close up. I saw him close up before he imploded. I saw him in the paddock, saw the qualifier, and watched the replay numerous times. At the end of the day, it's still, just a qualifier, and all that goes along with it, and all that doesn't. It means little to nothing in this case. Regardless, I wasn't impressed. He looked good, considering what happened. He's come a long way to make it back. But, back to being able to go 50 and 4.....but.....it was a qualifier. 50 and 4? Off a backed down 28 and 2 third quarter? Which you're supposed to do, can do, and actually do in a qualifier like this. No ask, because you don't have to and because nobody is close? Which is what happens in a qualifier like this. I don't know. I am glad he's back, but I wasn't impressed. It will be an entirely different world, apples and bowling balls, when he's in a race, a good horse looks him in eye, etc. Like Billy O' always said, 27 in a qualifier, and 27 in a race, are not even close to the same thing.
