Saratoga tuesday
« on: April 01, 2025, 01:38:50 PM »
RACE 5. Head on inquiry shot
quite a last 100 ft.

Too even monies, Beckwith #2 and Devaux #1

Looked like Devaux veered out for the block..couldn't tell if there was a 'hooked wheels' BUT whatever the antic, Devaux prevailed..judges lenient there.
Beckwith reacted to Devaux at wire...as in, 'What the fuck are you doing?'

Next 5 mins in backstretch would be fun you'd think.

i would suggest the driver of #1 got away with one, although hard for judges to take him down when there really was no contact
drifted about 6 paths wide from the head of the stretch and the 2 just drifted out with him as he got pushed out
the 2 had little choice, hook wheels or drift out and avoid
beckwith made the right call

Matt Athearn is just BAD.  How is he getting so many drives?

I'm liking this Jacob Cutting dude.  He's good

Bad Call. The horse lost by 6 inches. If he wasn't pushed 6 wide, wins easy. Beckwith was looking out for his and the horses' safely If he stays in his lane, He crashes and who knows what happens.  PLUS, Devaux made no effort to straughten out his horse.
