Yonker's is for real.  Good horses race where the money is.  Don't kid yourself.  A track doesn't have to be a mile track to be tough.

We're talking about the quality of horses!

John Campbell said it is more difficult to win races with "cheaper" horses than 'better' horses!

Yeah he wins a lot of races but he is also corrupt as they come.  He takes himself out of races quite often when he's the favorite.  Saratoga has the most breakers than ANY OTHER TRACK.  Mohawk next

Yeah, if the kid wasn't so corrupt, he'd have a driving average of .850 and a win% of 70%....stop  11.wj

Here's an idea. Why don't some of you cut to the chase, and head up and service both
the boy and the old man simultaneously. Save the wear and tear on your keyboards. tmbz1

 Your absolutely correct
Dose that mean he’s good??
The kid as you call him correctly at 22
But fun fact Brett didn’t even want to do anything with horses two short years ago
He had his sights on going to school for basketball
He NEVER spent  any time at all in the barn At ALL
  Your so sharp
You have noticed most of bretts winners my grandmother could have driven and win with

So what does that mean, because he didn't decide to drive horses until he was 18, that he isn't good? He got his first parimutuel win 4 years ago and who cares if he never mucked stalls or did one up? You better get use to the"Kid"..gonna be around a long time

This kid is the  longest thing against being corrupt. This is an insane statement.

I would think if you're a competent trainer, you wouldn't need the driver to hang your horse for you or depend on you're driver " how to fix it".. or  tell you what's wrong with your horse..alot of wanna be's out there

Years ago, you had to be a good horseman to be a trainer today you have to be a good chemist to be a trainer.

Or just a salesman. Sitting in grandstands telling owners what the trainers that are working are doing wrong

Horses will do things behind the gate, sitting in a hole, and finishing the mile that can't be seen very well on TV, or duplicated by the trainer in a training mile.
So the driver can be a great help.
In rare occasions a trainer may ask an opposing driver
"When my horse was  following you, and was right on your helmet was he breathing ok"?

I am just an old horse trainer still going around in circles. Sometimes Fast. Sometimes Half-Fast.
