Buffalo can't find horses to fill Saturdays opening card? You mean no one wants to race there? Tom Agosti, the race secretary has a 4 page list of rules, LOL. AND DON'T PARK IN FRONT OF THE RACE OFFICE!!!!!

If Batavia was as bad as people have said, why would they race at Buffalo?

The track is a lot worse than Batavia and the worst in North America!

Even a shorter meet with more purse money, it just isn't worth it!

FYI, the track was a quagmire of mud per a report on Monday, chances are they weren't racing Saturday!

Buffalo raceway track surface is horrendous,so many horses break coffin bones. Sad thing is that midget mango could care less, he doesn’t want the horses racing to begin with. Why you think they are racing at 2.30 on race days, so they don’t have to pay for the lights on the track. Agosti needs to go, Paige usiak gives her picks while she owns a horse or two with her boyfriend / trainer Jim clouser. HUGE conflict of interest. McDonough, clouser, petrelli, rice, kiblin/ carrubba / Courtney wright , Dave McNeight jr, 450 lb Sam smith, all no good drug using losers! Any wonder why it’s a dying sport around here. Cutting your own throats and you deserve everything you get. Days are numbered for horse racing in wny.

someone could probably buy buffalo and batavia.  close one down and totally redo one of them. make it a nice track and race year round.much like a northfield park, that would make too much sense.

One heck of and idea, but it’s not happening.

Two distinct ownership groups.

Buffalo by the Erie County Agricultural Society and Batavia by Western Regional Off Track Betting (WROTB).

The agricultural society survives on the revenue of the VLT machines. They’d have millions of dollars more if they weren’t giving out purse money to the horsemen also. Look at the salaries of Mango, Agosti, et al.

Now Batavia. If they close Batavia, the infrastructure is already set for the same financial windfall to boot (see above) and hotel, restaurant, and other things to do there for the people who go there.

Don't forget the huge amount of money the ag society loses by letting Delaware north run the slots while batavia runs their own

Hell all the Batavia slobs are tied up or haven’t moved . They aren’t race ready . Awful to own anything up that way unless you want to lose money

That tracks turns are the same as they have been since the 70's. The first turn before that was one of the toughest in the country, not much better now. Surface sucks, heard it's like a highway or deep mud. Haven't raced there in a long time but some great memories.

Hang in there one and all.

Wait until a few horses break down on the track because of the bad surface. You might get a few drivers hurt in this too!!
