Probably not. There is a big difference between the 1970’s and 2025 when dealing with DUI’S. The people and the states changed the laws to deal with the seriousness of this issue.

I got picked up in when I was 17, cop knew my family, took me home. Came to get me at 6 AM to get my car. Told me to stay off main roads, and gave me his card. Never got stopped again, quit drinking in my late 20's. New times, MADD etc. The guy has a problem, he shouldn't be running his yap. He should go to rehab and get it over with. Better to detox there as in jail, he can run his mouth all he wants. The judge will know all the details of his life, no hiding. He won't give two shits who he is or what he does.
