Saratoga Harness
« on: November 24, 2024, 01:25:29 PM »
I have known for years not to bet this place based on inside information.

I clicked on the link to live races on my ADW while watching Harrahs Pa and the Big a and left it on.

In the first four races I saw 4 short priced horses getting parked the mile. One in each race. They all were decent posts. They all had room to tuck. They all elected to stay parked out. They all finished off the board. Still a place where the inmates run the asylum I guess,

This is nothing personal against the Beckwith’s but racing changed for the worst when they arrived.

Why? It seems personal. They both do very well. Their owners buy good horses, and they are shipped horses from the top trainers around. And as opposed to most trainers and owners, they turn their inventory. Horses are always coming and going

Well there you have it there’s no conflict of interest as long as their both doing very well

I believe Brett has some talent. His dad has been doing what he does...forever. Was Mark kicked out of Yonkers?

Brett-Some talent?  Look what he has accomplished in such a short time!

For better or worse, Mark has a 'checkered past' in some people's eyes.  I believe Mark has won 5000 races as a driver and is about 55-60 years of age.  If anyone can confirm this, please do so.

A Monticello trainer who would ship to Saratoga occasionally stopped doing it, he said at Monticello he knows who the criminals are

I'm not a horseman. I'm a handicapper and fan concerned with the rise and fall of American harness racing. Mark has not been good for the credibility of the sport. He was particularly egregious at Rosecroft. The public believes the races are fixed and that's been the death nell of the sport, and Mark has not done anything to dispel that phenomenon.
