Yes the guy is good for the sport but I think he could do a lot better than entrusting Andrew Harris to build something for his son. There are lot more experienced people than him to be dumping 10's of millions into. Between Andrew and Cassie robbing this guy blind his kid will have a great stable of the best pedigreed 20 claimers!
Jealously is a terrible sin that will sink the best of people. Most look at this group and are jealous that Pollack can buy whatever horse he wants and/or jealous with Harris for getting the opportunity to train them. In the end it’s his money, his time is fleeting and he can do whatever the hell he wants with it.
When you attain a certain level of wealth (financial), one of the freedoms that comes with it, is the ability for true self-expression and self-decision. You get to do what you want. He's doing it. Ironically, the rest of the world always seems to have an opinion, or three, or a hundred, on what the person is doing. For those of you who think he's being a fool, so be it. Go tell him. He's at the track often. For those who you who think you can do better (than his trainer, advisor, Rabbi, Priest, whatever), so be it. Go solicit him, send him your resume, and maybe he'll hire you. Almost every person, will be able to pick better trainers than he did. Almost every person, will know how he's getting cheated. Almost every person will have better ideas how to do whatever it is he's doing. I find it rather thought provoking that the amount of knowledge held by a few people here on this BB, is exponentially greater than that of some of the greatest owners, trainers, and experts, in the entire industry.
