Bombs Away at Cumberland
« on: November 03, 2024, 12:42:47 PM »
With the 1-9 breaking at the start, Drew Campbell, has won 8 of the first 13 races at Cumby. Horse paid $163.60 to win, $100.80 cents to place, and $29.40 to place. Yikes!!!!!

Cumputer assissted wagering. It's happening everywhere: tons of money comes in late on the betting favorite. Usually, it's the horse that leaves the gate and has the lead approaching the quarter.  Tracks don't care for it increases the handle. Never before saw so many horses going off at 1/9.

I can't speak to Cumberland and if they have CAW's operations playing there.

Regardless, are the foxes in the hen-house? Is there any conflict here when racetrack owners own the platform(s) that CAW's are using-----NYRA and The Stronach Group own ETC, and CDI owns Velocity. Are they being treated just like any retail ADW?

Extremely small crowds and ever smaller pools. On that $160 winner, he had $29 on him in the win pool.

stupid to bet a 1-9 shot ever.  look for value or pass the race.   cumberland fall meet makes monti and freehold look great.

  • Calhoun: Thx I'm leaning to the 5 there.  Those CD/GP full field races look the best on the page. 1/2 length from being a G3 winner.
