I agree that Takter is another Bill Robinson when it goes to studs.  Good racehorses but were they "fake?"  For the amount of studs Takter has retired they aren't good in the shed.

I have no idea what his stud fee is going to be. I think it will one end of the barbel so to speak. Either they will make it $10k or $12.5k (15k is the cap IMO) and position him as a strong, well accomplished, strong value, horse/stallion, who will be second girl at the dance. He'll probably do very well----with the proof in the pudding being his first two-three crops. Or, they will price him at $20k or higher and announce his book full and closed within 7 minutes. They will sell a few token shares, a few "incentive" shares, breed a lot of their own, quietly sell some "incentive" seasons, sell a few people to breed to him, pool the income, and create the facade of a successful stallion. His first 2-3 crops will be average, with a few nice horses here and there, and then in a few years he'll be moved somewhere else. With a high stud fee, and the latter, he won't have a chance at being a good stallion.

Cams Card Shark, Mach Three, Presidential Ball, Art Major, Precious Bunny were respectable stallions from Bill..

I guess respectable is a relative and subjective term, LOL. I was a fan of Cams Card Shark, if only because I had a share in Cam Fella, LOL. He did sire some good horses, a handful of million-dollar earners, and had some good accomplishments as a stud. Bettors Delight in my mind is going to be the most important offspring, primarily because he continues the Meadow Skipper sire line. This is very, very important!

Presidential Ball as a stallion, eh, not so much in my mind. Precious Bunny, stood in NY for almost the first 10 years of his stallion career, before he was exported to NZ. Bunny Lake is probably his greatest claim to fame, although I was a admirer of Stout as a young horse. So-so there. IMO, Mach Three and Art Major are in a completely different discussion compared to the others.

Barry.G said that Manchego is going to Karl

They're going to get some decent mares for him, that's 100%

2 in the 2y.o sire stakes, other one needs another couple weeks
Best time of year watch the young horses racing for great money.

KARL was exposed and now he took the cowards way out and retired. Better keep the stud fee between 5/7K

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Tactical Landing sire the last 2 Hambo winners? I think better then average Causal Fan.

Nancy has an ass on her like a Montana Pack Mule. Mohawk go rub one out to that visual.

I'm not a fan of Karl but saying his stud fee should be 5k - 7k shows everyone you have no clue regarding Hambo champs and Million$ winners @ 2&3 who have also won some big races, showed a ton of 2 year old speed(very important).

I'm not saying he will be a top stud, but to completely dismiss him is so idiotic & ignorant

I think it'll be 15k. Maybe a little high but most breeders will take a shot, he's the new best thing. You know Diamond Creek and Crawford have a vested interest in strongly supporting him. His first book of mares will be interesting.

This feels right to me, too, in terms of what will actually happen. I would argue it should be a bit lower, but $15k seems realistic.

Believe me, I think that 15 is high too, but he was a great 2 yr old, won the Hambo. Ya gotta remember, PRIDE!! They have to make him legit.

I don't like Yannick very much as a driver, especially for young trotters, but I don't think you can pin this on him. I don't really feel he overdrove him and the horse appears to have struggled with soundness/gait over two seasons.
