So Nancy says he scoped sick after KY Futurity and now after BC Elim?  She didn't scope him after he trained prior to BC?  So he was good after he trained and then sick for BC or you raced him sick?  Why not just come clean and say "He can't trot any faster than this and he's sore and we can't patch him together anymore" I would love to know how mad Adam Bowden has to be right now?  I would ask for my money back and send that one packing.

I doubt Adam is mad at all   He thinks everything Jimmy says is the gospel. Hell Adam probably thinks it’s an honor that Jimmy wanted him to have Karl. What Adam needs to realize is the big farms aren’t knocking the door down to get Takter horses even more so now that TDS looks like another dud, that’s why he goes to Diamond Creek
Is Muscle Mass the best stud Takters have had go to stud?  Father Patrick to me isn’t what they hyped him to be and I don’t count Always Be Miki as he got him late in his career. I guess one could say Kadabra but he was awesome with Homer at 2.

Takter made Tactical Landing!  Without Jimmy’s work he would have never made it.  I would say Tactical Landing is a great stud and will continue to have some outstanding offspring.

Agree he got Tactical Landing good for a handful of starts before he retired.

And I would say good, not great, sire to date. A couple really nice ones but a good bit of mediocrity under that.

I think the breed is different today, and while there has been dilution, at the same time the horses of today are bred for more and easier speed. Today breaking yearlings is simple, they are mostly broken already, LOL.

Look back in the 70's and where leading stallions came from. Look at the 80's and the 90's. How many stallions did Bill Robinson make---taking into consideration the # of top horses he had? I think it's easier to make a stallion today---not necessarily a good one, LOL---but in the long run, the breed is getting diluted.

KARL was exposed and now he took the cowards way out and retired. Better keep the stud fee between 5/7K

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Tactical Landing sire the last 2 Hambo winners? I think better then average Causal Fan.

Nancy has an ass on her like a Montana Pack Mule. Mohawk go rub one out to that visual.

Feels like the easy speed has created the dilution as it has led to horses becoming studs that probably shouldn’t have.  For instance why is Volume Eight standing at Hanover.  He is a Chapter Seven out of a 53 Encore Encore mare with zero back pedigree on her side.  Trotting in 53 just isn’t that big of a deal anymore.  He himself was a very nice two year old but small with minimal starts.  I wouldn’t put him in a class with 2 year old Karl or TCI.

There are just a ton of average horses that caught decent records by racing at the Meadowlands or The Red Mile who now cover more mares than they should.  This has also diluted the open trot classes worst of all.
