Thanks for the laugh.
Have you heard of a guy named John Campbell?

They both have a good set of hands.  The difference is John Campbell probably has a little more instinct of being in the right place at the right time in a race.  A few horsemen have said that John Campbell can still drive with the guys today if he had to!

where in Ohio is Purple Jesus going? Is he going to drive at Northfield or the Scioto / Miami Valley / Dayton circuit? I remember him dominating Northfield in his younger days

Depending on where is actually lives, he could actually split time between Northfield, and Scioto/Miami Valley/Dayton and The Red Mile. He could also make The Meadows easily for PASS. He drove there for years.

Sure he will follow the $$ and touch base at all the commercial in Ohio 'BUT'
as a regular week in week out driver, it will be whatever track is open at the time
between Miami/Dayton/Scioto.. 'NOT' Nfld. 11.wp

Would be more fun at Northfield where Miller could get Aaron's drives!  Too bad it's not going to happen!

As a teenager degenerate gambler I made alot of money betting on him at Scioto in the 90's.. You are absolutely correct. Scioto will be his home base but he will go to Miami Valley and will be at Northfield whensire stakes are there. NOT Sure about Dayton. .  Lower purses there and they race after Scioto and through the holidays. He could get down to Lexington on the weekends if he wanted.tmbz1

I think he will lose most of his grand circuit opportunities. Look what happened to his cousin Brett. He left the East Coast and that was the end of most big races for him.
That is absolutely correct about Bret. There have been a few exceptions Charlie May etc..and most noticeably this year might be when Papi Grad goes to Lexington after the PASS finals.

BRETT WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD WHEN HE WAS FEARLESS.  PEOPLE GET OLD. THEY DRIVE SAFER. MY FAVIROTE BRETT WAS ON THE SUGAR. HE WOULD DRIVE THE FUR OFF THESE THINGS.

This move has been long planned and he hasn't kept it a secret. If he lived and his entire family were in NNJ he wouldn't be moving, but that's not the case. He's moving by choice, not by necessity, not because his business has declined, etc. Being that he's not in the tri-state area, or in Toronto, yes, without question, it will be harder for him to pick up drives on grand circuit 2yo's. He won't be sitting behind them before training down, schooling, baby racing them, etc., so yes, it will be harder. Same in general for grand circuit horses. However, at this stage in his career, I don't think he cares. The guy has performed and played at the highest level for 15 to 20 years now.

He'll have as much business in OH as he wants, and I am sure he'll pick up some nice drives from OH based trainers; and if he ends up in the driver's room somewhere along the line on the grand circuit, and trainers need a driver, I am sure very few will have a problem giving him the call.
