Do you really believe the people of PEI knew that this horse was injected with EPO? If so, you're misguided. I made my way to that place a few years ago and they love their horses and that race in particular. I've got nothing against Jordan as I think he did a great job with the fans. The blame is 100% on Jeff Gillis for pulling a fast one on those people. Much like Rene Allard and the rest of the scumbags that cast a black cloud over this industry, good riddance. They should have no place in this sport and it's a damn shame it took a decade plus for the truth to surface. Just think of how many good owners the game has lost because they claimed one from one of these chemists.
Their heroes are, were or belong in jail. Stratton wouldn't have had the opportunity to save Harness Racing with his beautiful gesture if he was driving a sober horse.

That doesn't make any sense Mike. The people have no idea, nor they should, of what goes on behind the scenes and the day to day stuff. They trust the local racing commissions to do their part in keeping an even playing field. To blame some unsuspecting fan is just plain misguided and silly. Do better my friend, aim the outrage where it ought to be, at the cheaters and the racing commissions.

You're delusional if you think they are ignorant. Look at the winners of their big race. Allard, Gillis, Moreau. That is the trifecta of scumbags. When Allard won it, they gave him and his brother a standing ovation for 10 minutes. The only question was if they were clapping for Rene and his pre race or Simon for blowing little boys.

Damn fucking skippy I'm hateful. Those scumbags ruined a sport I loved and which I dedicated most of my life to. I don't expect someone who never worked with horses to understand.

I've rubbed on them, trained them and owned them for over thirty years. Your outraged shouldn't be aimed at the fans or some local racetrack. Racing commissions have failed the sport in every jurisdiction outside of Hong Kong. Every single one of them have done nothing but get the old guy on a TC02 or overage on Lasix. I would fire every single racing commission in New York and New Jersey if I had my say, complete incompetence.

Jordan Stratton and his ice cream slurping smile should give all his money earned back to the people of PEI & hand out ice cream cones to every person along the fence at gold cup & saucer 2025….

its hard to tie the drivers into all of this , unless they had more involvement than driving
they have a job to do and if they pass on drives someone else just picks them up
it was still a good experience for fans and most don't know about epo etc

My parents taught me different.

no it doesn't make it right from the core
I'm just saying that sometimes there is collateral damage when these type of things are done
at that moment in time thousands of folks in pei had a great experience with no knowledge of what was going on behind the scenes

Sounds just like Pro Wrestling.

But that's not the ticket they paid for.

Anyway, onward.
