Of course they were. They just charge the owners for the flights back and forth to KY. Just didn't make a peep.

Trivia. Who was the last 3 year old filly of melanders to win a race at meadowlands

23 of 38 yearlings in the current crop sold as yearlings sold for an average of over $164K (12 colts/16 fillies)
Gross: $4.6 million

so far 25 starters have earned under $200,000 TOTAL (40% of that total by two horses)

To date TWO of his colts have earned over $6,000

Yes it's early...

I don't know all of his colts but he has 2 in the 13th at the Red Mile this afternoon with 40000 or more including the best NYSS colt so far. He also owns Galen Erso in Canada and will train him in the states.  That horse has 84,000 Canadian and is the favorite in tonights 150,000 race at Mohawk.

Trained or babysitting?  If the horse goes downhill if and when he comes to the states we will know.  Also forgot Global Sensation who had over 20000 before finishing 2nd a few minutes ago to the red hot Carter Pinske.

Super Chapter just came through for him pretty well.  I think that the Pinske horse might have run him down though.  He was flying and just starting to get in gear when he made that speed break.

I think MM is a very good horseman. He's young, has got a very good background, and he might be struggling with some of the success he has had. After success like that, and with owners like he has, he doesn't get a free and clear bankroll to go out and spend every fall at the yearling sales. I hope he does well.

All he has to do is hit with a couple. He'll last till they get tired of loosing, that bugs them more than the cash. Nice kid
