Sandals will save Freehold in a few years. He will able to fill the cards and bring in enough bettors to make it profitable again!

Yeah, bettors want juiced up 1-5 shots in every race. Profitable....too funny.

Called a friend out East who said he had a guy go to freehold today to bet simulcast and says there are posters on a bunch of doors stating closing of the Race book permanently. No mention about the track reopening or if there are further cuts . Just Racebook to be closed permanently. That’s a first figured racing would go before sports betting

Anther jerk who hates racing.

We don’t hate racing, we hate the juicers like Oakes and Surick who ruined the sport.

When a sports book has to close you know you are in deep water. A glut of sports betting right now and the cell phone makes it far too easy. Minus Jersey subsidy, racing is dead a long time ago.

You are an idiot

NO casino owns Freehold-its owned by Pennwood

The sportsbook is run by Parx-and then dont want to pay the licensing fee

any more stupid questions?

Out here most tracks are owned by casinos now . I assume Chester , pocono and Yonkers are all casino owned correct ? Freehold should have went that route maybe they wouldn’t be closing up if they had .

Penwood is Parx and Penn National. Both are more casino companies than racing

Sorry.

Pennwood is a separate subsidiary created to share Freehold racing

50% Penn National 50% Greenwood-yes they are casino operators

thats why they are closing the sportsbook-they dont want to pay the hefty licensing fee and why they opened late

they are hoping for a casino at freehold but i doubt any casinos will be allowed outside Atlantic City anytime soon

ask Gural how that worked out for him
