I don’t see him beating Karl. I just don’t think he’s versatile enough and Karl can do it anyway the ask him. He should trotted away today and did not.

If Karl is half the horse many have touted him to be [not saying he's not that good],
then TCI is of little consequence. 11.wp

Not sure what you are all talking about. TCI won with Miller never moving a muscle in the bike in the stretch, and he won with the earplugs still in. If they would have went around the track again the Svandstedt horse was never going by.

TCI is definitely not as flashy as Karl, but he is more versatile than Karl and I think the jury is still out on who will have the upper hand when they hook up.

I disagree. Like rabbit said, should have trotted away and instead of that, Miller had to
urge him against nobody in charmin soft fractions. Hopefully they'll hook up multiple
times. He'll never beat Karl.

I mean, he already beat Karl.

Karl is Uber talented for sure, but never seeing 3 turns is a knock against him.

TCI was safe. A 59 middle half means that you would think draw off some.
Dave Miller is easier on horses...compared to Gingras. Did Dave have it measured & was saving the horse?

TCI has left the gate ever time he has raced. The one time DM went to duck him was in the MMillion and he run.
Karl YG has taken off the car a few times let the field settle and moved him late to the lead.
As far as Karl racing 3 turns it doesn’t matter, all the big races that count are around 2 turns

I guess you’re right (not about TCI being ducked though) which is a shame because the Yonkers trot and the Beal actually used to be respected races. Money is still good, but no one cares.

I've watched the replay several times. Miller never moved in the bike until Ake started coming up the inside and even then it was only two taps on the bike.  TCI was on his own and when he actually saw the horse coming up he responded by himself to slightly increase his lead at the very end.

Karl is still way ahead of him though IMO.
