Unfortunately, HISA does not -- yet -- have oversight in the harness racing industry. I hope they do one day. There has to be a massive difference between a positive on a therapeutic, approved drug and some designer, exotic, no need to ever have drug. I am not giving a pass to the former, but there are going to be cases of contamination. Intent may not be an element, but I can certainly see an egregious example where it's obvious. The latter, no discussion necessary. The Navarro/Servis case litigation and trial was nothing more than a means to an end. At some point you just have to start thinking this is nothing more than the Lance Armstrong scenario and a cover up is going on. Hold the owners accountable to some extent and you'll see change.

Let there be a national wrap sheet. If your trainer has one strike, you know it, and you bear the consequences of strike two. More harsh for strike 3. And so on. This business will never be hay, oats, and water, and if you are, unfortunately, you are at a competitive disadvantage, and there lies the problem. Hall of Fame trainers, who are widely accepted as being clean, legit, etc., even they have a positive or two, usually limited to a therapeutic drug. Today, find me a top, high percentage winning trainer who doesn't have a positive test -- or three -- on their record. I think HISA will improve, and as a result the sport and the business will as well.

Sounds tasty.  Will they use a tortilla or rice paper?   ngc3

Lets start listing name(s) of owners of horses testing positive.

All someone has to do is backtrack the owners in USTA since you have the horses names——simple process!!

Have any left?

If you really need some, look up where these individuals are located. Better yet, take a trip there and find out!!

I'm a bit confused about this whole topic.  The drug Wagner got 7 positives for Firocoxib,  is NOT synthetic cannabis, marijuana, cannabinoids etc.  It is a NSAID pain reliver used in horses and dogs.  You can buy it on Chewy.com.

"Firocoxib, sold under the brand names Equioxx and Previcox among others, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the COX-2 inhibitor (coxib) class. It is approved for use in horses (Equioxx) and for use in dogs (Previcox).

Here are some key points about Firocoxib:

It is used to treat pain and inflammation in dogs and horses.
It is most frequently used to treat arthritis and pain after surgery or trauma."

It was 7 positives for ADB-Fubinaca which is synthetic cannabinoid.
