Dan, I don't blame GWB for expanding the budget, simply because 9/11, Katrina, and the MBS debacle all happened during his 8 years. He was slow responding to some of these crises but that's another debate. I don't blame fatboy Trump for COVID, just the way he botched our response. Reagan way overspent on defense, but if the end result was the USSR crumbling then maybe it was worth it?
Slick Willie, whom I disliked for being slimy (re:Lewinsky and lying about it) left GDub with a surplus, one which went bye-bye. Even Obama reduced the budget while making sure tens of millions of people had health insurance.
The FACT is the Dems have been painted as the tax and spend lunatics ever since I was eligible to vote and the math (deficit spending) clearly indicates otherwise.
Thanks for this, and for coming back to cite where you got this  tmbz1

So how does the 4billion plus for student debt relief figure in?  It will be added to deficit in 4 years. Obama care and the migrants free healthcare is ongoing. Who is responsible for that debt?  The current president??? Or the ones that pushed it on the American people

Hate him or not Trump had the deficit coming down till Covid hit. Who was responsible for DR Faucia funding the research that caused it?

Tax cuts give the David Brooks types huge windfalls and the average working stiff gets  :1. The Trump payroll tax made me $62 net extra a month. Sounds great, but that year my return was $1,400 less than the year before. So I lost $$$$ while millionaires got fat. Sorry
