What is the worst betting track in North America for you ?
« on: January 10, 2024, 06:20:50 PM »
For me its Pocono Downs. Small pools, millionaire owners, drivers, trainers where them betting a 50 perfecta is pocket change, and there are so many good horses (because rich people dont have bad ones) that its tuff to eliminate anything. Stable connections can take 1/3 or 1/2 of pools with their big bets.

I wonder if even one word of this drivel other than small pools is even remotely correct.  Where do you come up with this?  Millionaire owners trainers and drivers control Pocono's pools which are even smaller than Chester most of the time?   ngc3 ngc3 ngc3   And the horses are "so good" because rich people don't have bad horses ...   ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

There's a chance of that.  I wouldn't go out on a limb and say so yet but the thought did cross my mind.

Ok, OK, so Erv MIller keeps a couple bad horses to mess around with to screw around with and make a few bets on, I get it, but mostly millionaire owners dont have cheap horses.

Don't know what track it is. Don't pay attention. But it would be a track with small pools, short fields, noncompetitive races, and a distortedly high percentage of winning favorites.

Does it matter to you if the Horsemen have a ton of cash and kill the payouts when they hit on a bet which is often there  at Pocono ?

When full card simulcasting 1st was available the only t5/8ths tracks worth betting were: Sportsmans, Greenwood, Mohawk, and in the winter Los Alamitos. The others had weak pools. A couple of the Michigan tracks were ok and better than the Pennsylvania ones.
Pocono
Harrah's Philly
Meadows
All tough to make a decent score
I'm not Hush; we live in different states. Therefore, anyone saying so I wager $1,000 I'm not him. Any takers please set up escrow account for wager. You'll lose!

Any track where your 4/5 becomes 1/5 or 1/9 when the race goes off.  See it a lot at Northfield and Miami Valley. I think it's mostly stable connections (including owners) who know their horse is going ready to win.
