According to SCM he is an abuse supporter...just because he said not to feed into SCM.  Doesn't make one a supporter of anything by saying don't give SCM more ammo.  I think Corey made a mistake and he thinks so too.

I can't say it was a mistake. Mr Callahan looked to be very aware that the horse was in pain heading back to the winners circle. All of that pain for a picture? This can't be tolerated

Where was the state vet when the horse was scoring down? A horse that sore had a show some signs in the post parade if you’re sharp enough to see it.

State vet should be fired but no doubt was probably more concerned with texting his top clients/trainers to tell them what races they were blood gas testing just my opinion.

The vet was probably in the same place they were when that 2yo of Burke's this summer warmed up lame AF and then dropped dead after the wire. And the same place they were when Dream Out Loud N won the night before the Hambo 2yrs ago and came back to the WC with his amateur driver on 2 or 3 good legs. Or, as an earlier poster commented on, the horse that won the first race on the day of this event.

I don't know who is the state vet at the Big M but it's a bonafide shitshow.

When will SCM get back to ripping Joe and Howie a new one on a daily basis?  Some of those posts were quite humorous.  In the meantime, HT and Dylan continue to win races at Dover and it gets no mention.

I too remember the state vet doing that. If he say a questionable horse he would tell the driver to score the horse at a good pace. Sometimes he would scratch the horse.  No more, now it is just a night (well paid) at the races.

I also witnessed a state vet calling a top trainer to tell him what races they were blood gas testing.

If that trainer had a horse racing in a race that was not being tested a box of baking soda and confectionery sugar was tubed along with a win ticket for the vet.

I would never mention names because I'm not a rat bastard like that fucking bum out of Goshen.

It is a sad reality, but the state vet is there to help prevent it where possible, right? I did not see this horse warm up so maybe there was nothing to see and maybe it was injured during the race. But the one I referenced over the summer was clearly not right warming up. I am not a vet but I have eyeballs.

If some of the above stories are true re: vets telling trainers what races are being blood-gassed, that's a problem. Though since the supposed witness won't talk because of their alleged non-rat-bastardness, all hearsay I guess.
