Matt Butcher had been battling cancer passed away over the weekend.

He was the owner and trainer of Enough Talk whom he sold that won the Breeders Crown for aged trotters.

I asked Matt’s advice on a horse I had a drive on- as a struggling P driver I got the ones no one else wanted to drive. This horse was a double wrap flat back puller- Matt just drawled “well , what do you want to hold him for?” He wasn’t wrong- horse wasn’t going to win no matter what.
