Well for one thing he could of not tried to fake it by presenting another yearling when the investigators asked to see the injured colt.

well you could remove the bike etc , wait for him to get up on his own and put him back in his stall and try again tomorrow
it would take patience though
not everyone you buy gets broke the first day/week, some may take time
