Karl

A paid training mile in the Kindergarten tonight..no surprise.

Karl's going to the Valley Victory. IF he wins, he won't eclipse TCI's 2yo earnings, but I will say the voting would have to be pretty tight for 2yo CT of the year. Karl demolished TCI in the Breeders Crown, was nosed out in their only other meeting, and is the fastest 2yo.

Who has your vote?

Unless Karl falls down in the VV, he is the best 2yo trotter.

It would be nice if someone actually made him race!  They let him stroll to the lead in 57 3/5 from the ten post tonight. Would like to see him face some adversity before touting him as a great horse.

None of those horses tonight can go with him, so why try? Hope to pick up some pieces.

Honestly, the Lexington matchup with him and TCI was just a sprint too. I think the BC is his shining race. If anyone let him win that, it's their own fault and I think he trotted right away from them, TCI included.

Not that it's not part of the voting process, but I 100% believe he's the more naturally talented of the two. TCI does not have the raw speed/talent of Karl from what I've seen. A lot can happen between 2 and 3. I hope they both come back strong and healthy next year.

If I had a vote, assuming he dominates like he should in the VV, he's my 2yo colt trotter of the year (as if I had a vote) ngc3

  • Calhoun: Thx I'm leaning to the 5 there.  Those CD/GP full field races look the best on the page. 1/2 length from being a G3 winner.
