Colt sold for $ 61,500

Not sure if he sold, as he was listed with same ownership group in the program on Sept. 19 in the final (no check).

I see this one was claimed off Burke his next start by Hunter Oakes.

As a follow-up (and also related to another thread which pondered whether there was "life after Burke") the horse jogged today for Hunter Oakes and was rigged more simply than Burke had him set up.  Looked great and won by open lengths from an outside post in the same claiming class.

I saw that -- Not sure what to make of it. On the equipment end I'm sure Burke isn't sitting behind or even eyeballing all his horses -- he has to rely on second and third trainers. So who is actually hanging up the horse? And that goes for other trainers who race in multiple states -- who's actually in charge -- glorified grooms? Maybe it's not a bad idea to claim (buy) off them.

  • dougie: I know very little about him. But since I admire his goals, I admire the man. There'a alot of hate out there. But it's the horses that all should focus on. My friend Trigger tells me i'm naive about things. I am not. But I do believe that what he does overrides the petty nasty personal attacks we see so frequently.

  • dougie: I'm glad. Some folks on here hate the messenger so they hate the message too! Mike P. has never insulted me in any way. I see a lot I=of support from many "non horse people" on his page.

  • Kirby's Ace: So saying I can't wait for your reply now turns into I think its ok for people to abuse animals? Deflect much?
