We used to go to RR many decades ago for the Int’l Trot. What an event before 30,000+ fans. This Saturday if Yonkers gets 1,000 fans for the big day they will be thrilled. Unfortunately they may only have a few tellers and the lines to bet will be loooong.

I was there. I loved Ideal Du Gazeau.
It isn't fun going anymore. I watch and wager from my office at home. No lines. Great coffee. Kitchen is always open with plenty to chose from.

Be surprised if anyone manages to connect the dots before Saturday.
Havent seen a p5 not hit nightly at woodbine in i cant recall when. But p5 at yonkers, given huge inside advantage and usual odds on choices really should not go unhit for several consecutive days.

I gave up on yankers yrs ago after being a faithful watcher. I wasnt aware this $5 was  1 week only gimmick. If pool was seeded and swells theyll get a decent influx of cash. But id hold off playing till Saturday.

Be honest --- $5 is a little steep for me, I would like to see roll till Saturday, just to see with an international betting crowd included what is could be.

They need a couple more days of at least a couple of legs being big prices.

half of wed night's carryover ($19k) carries to the $5 pk 5 on thursday - the other half carries to saturday.  They've been seeding their $5 pk5 with $15k each night....though with tonite's carryover i'm not sure they're seeding tonight...

the pigeons on this thread who aren't interersted in a pool where they seeded 15k like they did on tuesday and wednesday are goofs....and yea..same pigeons are saying they want consolation 4 of 5 in pk5s and 3 of 4 in pk4s...

u want 2 outta 3 in pk3s too??

goofs...great idea by yonkers to generate some carryover activity - and great idea to seed their pool with $15k...$5 might be a little high as the base bet, but i think this concept, or an adaptation of this concept could work moving forward...

good luck to those non pigeons playing tonite and saturday

Ill stick to trying my luck saturday presuming not hit tonite.  They seed pool regularly (at least were) weekly so not sure how this is much different than that. I just  dont believe this will be hit before then. Be interesting to go back and see last time a yonkers p5 pool had winners comparable to the $24,$74 and $94 horse in last nights pool. Cant happen often; usually a a $2.80, $ 4.20 etc involved along way.

But good luck to anyone playing.

ZERO value offered to the betting public with this idea. Better pools at smaller tracks on any given night.

At least you can hit it and win. It kills me when they promote those single ticket (sucker) jackpot plays.

Yes you can win easier than other places. But whats the fun in cashing tickets... ngc3

So from drf harness it looks like a carryover for saturday p5 regardless. Interesting to see what the pool will be saturday. It should get a decent input from europe. Ill have to pull the program. Little out of my league though i may put up $180. That woild be 2 singles, 3, 3 and 4. Ill wait to see what the pool looks like before i decide. Gl if uou play may be a nice pool.

not a bad concept really
for most bets we need to get away from these $.20 wagers which kill the payouts...$.20 pick 3 ??really??
i think if on an ongoing basis yonkers or others made it a $1.00 ticket and if no winners it carries over, no consolation
