Thats on the part of the Hambo Society. Even in lack luster fields the KY Derby always gets fan fair.  This should say something loudly to the Harness Community.
As Rod Stewart said in a song; " there ain't no point in talking when nobody is listing, so they just ran away..."

Who gets boned this year? Pick you top 5 place finishers in this years Hambo and Hambo Oaks.

Should be about 83 degrees at post time and the track was lightning fast last night (n/w $2,000 disgraceful 13th race went in 1:50.2!!)  Unfortunately Ake decided to put Jiggy Jog in the Steele for $131K rather than the Cashman for $278k and so probably missed out on a chance to lay down a new World Record for Trotters (with only 6 in the Steele, it is unlikely there will be enough action to prompt the kind of speed necessary to do that, whereas with several of the Cashman trotters, like Its Academic etc., she might have had a chance.)  As it is Ake has 4 in the Cashman (2 of whom probably don't belong).

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.

  • Trigger: I thought BT & I had a real good shot w/ a 110 4/5, wide but nice momentum, and then a sharp left turn mid stretch ended that  ngc3
