These heat streaks mixed with low ventilation ship-in barns can shorten a  season real quick for some horses! The fair races at Northfield tonight will have alot of the youngins going faster than they've ever been! Toss in a bit of Lasix and wonder why the horse has no pep in its step! Fluids out requires Fluids in,regardless of the cost! Fast marks are a dime a dozen these days, great prospects are harder to find! I already took too long to say"Save something to make you money for the rest of the year! 11.chrz 11.chrz

Thank you for your input.

Not like some other forum Karens who could care less about the horse's welfare on a day like today!

Isn't it something that people who are involved heavily in the sport have no answer to this simple question. Best they can do is insult and deflect!

Makes you wonder about their character!

Some tracks,  probably cancelled also because heat a few weeks back complicated by smoke from canadian fire. That appears less of a problem in northeast today. May have been the combination that led to some cancellations.

I can’t answer for anyone but myself

Aside from racing , the shipping itself stresses every single horse that walks into the paddock
Go stand in the back of a horse trailer on the freeway and you’ll quickly understand why!
Throw in the added body heat and you’ll quickly have one tie up

This.
It was more air quality than temperature.
