with the way the track was playing, it was probably going to be tough for Ruthless to cut the mile and hang on. Still wtf happened with poor Abuckabett, I hope he was alright after being parked to that wicked half and not being able to clear finish dead last and coming home in like 33 seconds.

It was all in the drive for Charlie May, somehow got a spot up close and was able to save ground. Obviously he isnt the best of the division but looks like this group will take turns all year. Allywag showed his best effort of the season albeit he appears to be a step or two down from his previous two seasons. Ruthless overall probably has the edge over these on any given night. I think Rockyroad will be coming back soon and Bythemissal has every right to improve.

Fantastic horse but a complete asshole for an owner. Took Charlie to a county fair to race for $3000. Tiger told me Charlie needed a training mile. When I asked him why he did not agree to not accept any purse money he hung up the phone. Greedy bastard could have let the little guy race for the complete $3000 but he did not. I told him what goes around comes around and we know what happened at the Meadowlands

Wow. Was happy to see the horse win last night (though I really was hoping little Tattoo Artist would hold on) but after reading this..if that is true, tells you all you need to know about that guy.

I didn't think he had a shot in hell in that race. David drove him like he was the best. Awesome effort from Charlie and what a steer from Miller.
The owner I know nothing about. Small time guy that does not need partnerships or Burke's hay so you gotta root for him.

I thought he had enough horse to win; but was a real lot of talent to his inside. Horse really likes the track; connections bring him ready and are still probably  tweaked over past dq. Going into races of this $ and stature, i often take lightly local track efforts leading up; trainers often use them as preps and dont have a horse primed in them.   Post was the problem that imho was insurmountable.  ngc3 I played 5 horses, over 5 horses over charlie may in triple.

Accolades to dave miller.  He's still purple jesus imho!

It was good to see Charlie May win. I believe that's one for the good guys.
