I used to go to OTB's in NYC and NYS in the day, now I use ADW's in Florida.  You still go to a physical location still to watch and wager, might as well go to the track to see the races live - that's still a hoot  ?

I agree, nothing better than being trackside watching live.
Time restraints prevent me from getting to the track a couple times a week, so I make do with an OTB.

A little luck in the race never hurts. #3 was a no show and when Ruthless broke there was a nice hole on the rail. Then she got the cover she needed. Her horse is a good horse , but a lot has to do with the way the race plays out especially on that track. In the 1995 Battle I saw a 3k horse beat millionaire Village Jiffy. I've seen some strange outcomes happen over the years on those flying turns.

Imagine betting gas and go Georgie Nap at that price knowing that handsless wonder would be firing big off the gate, hellbent for the top and yes breaking the steed early. Too funny but not unexpected. What happened with Backstreet Shadow?

Worst drive of the race was Buter on Covered Bridge, horse in lifetime form and he just sits in, overloaded on the final turn with nowhere to go.

Great Race, interesting outcome. Certainly was not my pick. I thought Charlie May was going to get the job done. Still big congrats to the connections.

Weak field for this alleged "Battle". Is anyone else tired of watching This Is The Plan. Alywag Hanover didn't even bother with this joke of a race.
