Friday night at Hawthorne Erv has 1/2 of the field in 50k race

That’s the kind of stuff that is stopping new owners from coming in the business. The guy has five of the ten horses in the 50k stake race. When he does that shit I wish everyone would scratch so they cancel the card. Totally ridiculous that they allow one guy to monopolize the industry like that. It borders on race fixing.

Maybe Erv's owners should just buy the other 5 and guarantee a winner.

You know same can be said for Burke and other high profile trainer's with owners deep pockets.look at it this way they won't be all 3/5 and you got Marcus Miller in for the card with a few live bombers. This happens at many tracks many times of the year if you don't like it don't bet .

What horses are left in Chicago besides the crippled, old or horses that couldn't get wins with top quality fields .for breeders to do well they need stock and a place to race full time and unfortunately they don't have either at the moment

Come on smolin. I’m just saying nobody bets that type of crap when one guy has a monopoly on the business. Would you invest and buy one year,into to race against his 20? You can’t beat him. At least Burke had enough decency to let the Illinois guys get their share. But here comes Erv to take it all. I hope they just close it down and praying Hawthorne only races Harnesslink one day per week ship in only.
