Starting the season off with a pik 8 and a guarantee 25k pool.
This is a $1 base wager.

In its first day, all 8 races were won by the favorites.
6 winning tickets each getting over $4k

Bet into the pool. $2,197

Today first leg just finished with a $2.40 winner.

They did bet $2900 into today

Can't imagine they will making any kind of guarantee.  That is a beating.
