Yonkers cancels Tuesday’s program

Yonkers, NY — The cancellation committee for MGM Yonkers met this morning to discuss the weather conditions for Tuesday (Oct. 26).

With states of emergency declared in New York and New Jersey, reports of flooded roads, and gale force winds and rain forecast for the night, MGM Yonkers felt the safe course of action for all participants was to cancel. New York Gaming Commission presiding judge Frank Pellegrino agreed that a cancellation was justified. SOA of NY President Joe Faraldo also agreed.

Therefore, racing from Yonkers Raceway is canceled for Tuesday (Oct. 26). Racing is scheduled to resume Wednesday (Oct. 27), with first post at 7:15 p.m.
