Passing through Chicago next month on our way back to NY.. Wifey wants to go shopping at that magnificent mile .. what’s a good Italian restaurant in that area for dinner? No Olive Garden please ( although I do like it).

Francos. Or franconellos. Both really good

I used to love Olive Garden until they took away my peppers and sausage dishes.

I have to go to a real Italian restaurant to get peppers and sausage dishes now.

But how can you not love their breadsticks?

Don't overlook Carmines a couple of blocks further north on Rush.  There's a big outdoor seating area.  I think there food is better than Rosebud.  Rosebud has gone down hill the last few years. ...in my opinion and I'm not Italian.

Yeah I’ve had Carmines here in NYC and when visiting in DC.. it’s pretty good but I figured I try a local place since I rarely travel to Chicago area..
