Did he appeal it ?     If so wouldn't it be reported in todays' May 14 th rulings  ?
He has raced or is in to race  May 11 to May 21st

Or is this another example of why people like Burke and Baffert   are licensed under a different set of rules

I'm guessing he applied it. Sometimes the appeals don't show up for a weeks. Why I don't know but I have seen it with other trainers

tbreds are a huge industry and Standardbreds are a mere nothing compared to t breds, they did $112 m on Preakness, a new record crushing the old on $100,m

so nobody gets in the way , not baffert not anybody, yes they have treated him with kid gloves up to this point but no more
owners are not going to pay milliuons for yearlings if they think someone( baffert etc) can juice a cheap horse and win big stakes races

tbreds are a global game  including   arabs and England and the governing body will not fuck that up

if baffert needs to get thrown under the bus so be it, he is in his late 60's so he is on his last legs anyway
there  are a lot of good big name trainers in all countries , with money behind them
in terms of significance to the indusrty burke is much bigger than baffert and so he gets the kid glove treatment right now

true and great points. sadly harness racing has let him become so big, as in horse numbers, that how else can he be handled but gentlely.  if he got days right now and didnt transfer horses how many races would be 1 or 2 horses short? and he races at how many tracks?

  I believe this would be Baffert's 30th positive in his career. Baffert started training quarter horses, and has had a morphine positive on his resume. Both Burke, and Baffert have used lame excuses to rationalize their actions. The bottom line is the TRAINER RESPONSIBILITY RULE. If/when Baffert's Derby sample comes back positive, he should be done. The customers don't give a rat's ass about the excuses. Either play by, AND ENFORCE the rules, or close it down.

I wouldn't agree with that.  He's much better at turning nickle breds into big money winners or taking others already proven stock like Atlanta and Backstreet Shadow and keeping them going  than succeeding with that many of his big money yearlings.
