I don't think was a horse person. Parolee apparently had mental health and drug issues. Crashed car in chase at cal expo. Unfortunately cop and k9 dog shot and killed. Parolee also dead in shootout. Another sheriff injured (shot). Very violent and tragic shootout.

Good to know not any of the Chicago guys that went to Cal.

But I will say identifying this person as a parolee eliminated nobody from suspicion.

Funny, I had the same thought when reading articles. Other variables made me guess the guy wasn't horse person but could be wrong.

If he had any association with track you would think it might have been mentioned. But got a laugh  from your comment.

Maybe he was just trying to get late p4 in.
