What has happened to Robert Lounsbury?
« on: January 21, 2021, 10:00:44 AM »
Since the turn of the century, Lounsbury has had a trainer rating , at Monticello, of over .400! Including 2 years of .500. Since the middle of last year to now he is at .200 or less. What's the story? I know he is approaching 70 years old, that would explain his volume being down but not his production.

Weren't Doherty and Gill really on fire last several years too ? Not sure if their production is any better of late...Gary Messenger barn and Sowers always seem to do pretty decent..
Is it possible some of the guys lost owners who couldn't afford the upkeep during the Covid shutdown?

That all makes sense. "Dapp. Gill got his spanking and a 6 month time out. Messenger looks even knelled. Jim Doherty was always less than a .250 hitter in my recollection. And Sowers, by the looks of his client list he needs to be at the top .
I would guess there are a number of factors as to the down turn for Loundsbury.

Yes, the FBI is unleashing all of its fury and resources on a harness trainer nobody in the general public has ever heard of, in a sport that nobody watches or bets on.
