Come on people.  Like to know who you guys are bashing this guy. He has a family grieving today and probably for a few weeks.  Are we not supposed to be nice to people enduring these times.  I bet everyone of you have bashed have had issues, problems, etc.  And I will bet any money none of you had the success of Bill

I got to know Bill in 1991 in Florida when we had a small cheaper stable.  Every time I asked him a question he would answer and not once talked about drugs. I have some great stuff to pass along and will but few hours of work left.

I just read the article on the Canada Racing site

Had a lot of top horses.

And the guys who drove these things, Campbell, Jack Mo, Pierce, Brown should be posting stuff on social media and tell us about the real Bill.  These guys are pros and so was Bill.  If they are too scared to send in a comment somewhere on line then shame on you guys.  This manmade you dudes a lot of cabbage.  So Mr Campbell if you are not caught up in the political BS, please tells us some stuff ab out Bill.

well this will certainly spark some lively debate
clearly there are people on two extreme sides of this story
'he certainly did fade off into the sunset at a rather young age( for horse trainers)
fair to say he has not been really involved for  at least 20-25 years

His horses jogged on the watch...not miles

RULE
No employee allowed in stable area..between 2 and 4PM
"Horses needed rest...which doesn't happen when people are around"........quote Bill

BUT

The year Jackie Mo was set down for " too many infractions"........the quote of weak judges and the USTA who posted the suspension as such...instead of gross inconsistent driving....settin g horse up

Ron Waples picked up the drives ..especially on Presidential Ball

One Saturday  they raced a couple at Meadowlands afternoon ..and then they raced to Newark NJ airport forthe   2 hour flight to Toronto..where they had a few other top horses in to race

They only had carry on luggage..and Bill always flew 1st class
He put his bag and attache case in the overhead bin..and settled down for the 2 hour trip

Turbulence was strong..and their airplane went thru it.......the plane shook..and some of the overhead  storage bins came open.......includ ing the one where Bill had stored his bags.

A couple of bottles in his bag..broke open and spilled on the airplane carpet........

The plane arrived in Toronto   1  hour early
