Is he Hambo eligible? Would love to see a horse with his connections try to break up the usual suspects you see in it year after year

I believe he's only staked to OSS program and the Dream Of Glory trotting series at Hanover.
That series starts this weekend but Walker says he'll skip it and concentrate on OSS.

firhill, read page 3....

Gotcha.

I was going off the following post where you thought he got a cheap win and wasn;t even worth $100k

IMO 75-100 best

remember that 2 nice trotters jumped at the start and left him a clear path

He definitely closed with a nice kick but not a 200k kick

Toughest match up to date tonight at Grand River.

PP#8. Hayek, Horse Trader, HP Royal Theo and the likes all drew inside of him in OSS Gold.

Paul Walker tested Pemberton with a qualifier over this track..........'called " training"..and being preparedhttp://

Here is the program....he is in the last race

https://grandriverraceway.com/horse-racing/programs/

Trevor Henry was top driver here for 4 years..he knows every inch of the track

This trotter is for real

I think 6 wide on the first turn from post 8 on a half into a track record qualifies as an excuse.

They went in 1:53.3 ....3 year old trotters on a 1/2 mile track...a track record and Canadian Record

And he had the 8 hole....and had to go around / watch out for  2 breaking horses
When Trevor knew he couldn't catch the first 2 horses...he did not gut his trotter.....aka Joe BONGO

The OSS does have some very nice 3 year old trotters.........

I can't wait till they draw in same division  at Mohawk WDB

Hey good topic everyone !  ( let's keep the mom's basement and cocksucking off this thread )

Yes - he was carried wide into first turn
Yes - he had the 8 hole
Yes - it was a track record

But - He did slide into the 5 hole pretty decently.... He did sit till past the half and had live cover to follow.

Yet - he looked like at no point was he a threat to pass the top two at any point.

Flip the post positions and give him the rail --- does he win maybe, but I doubt as impressively....

Next start should be interesting..... I hope he does well, good story and horse to follow.

There are 5 very nice horses in that field.  Hayek, Hot Weelz, Moon Bridge and HP Theo are all as  good as - or close - as Pemberton.

Pemberton's just got that 'off the pace' fan appeal.  He's good but those first 3 wins were all cupcake trips.  He WAS impressive the race he blew by Hayek in late July.

They're all close enough that to me it's all trip and pace.  I'd bet any of them at the right number if they race back at Mohawk, especially Moon Bridge.

There are 2 Gold legs left and a Final...for these trotters

September  28............... ..........October    8...........and the Final

October  17............... ..All 3 races will be at WDB/ Mohawk

Too big a gap...they will all need a start or 2 to stay sharp over a 30 day period

And don’t forget his individual time was 2 seconds faster than previous track record for 3yr old trotter. Set last year by Forbidden Trade
