Watching the race, you can see how much different a trotter that one is vs the others.  Head lots lower, sound as a dollar, and determined. Little urging also.
Tougher crowd next out I'm sure. Will see where this one ends up after a mile around .50 or so...

lets see what he does in the next few starts
as a comparison  stravinsky won the first race that night in 154.3 on the front
they are both 3 yr old colts

Hopefully he puts someone else up & not use Zeron....

I actually don’t think Zeron driving would be the worst of the bunch to choose from. He usually drives them in the final quarter and won’t use that hard.
Christoforou, Mayotte and the likes would be great for A young trotter and wouldn’t abuse (not saying they are great for the bettors)

always proceed with caution
its a homebred from a rather average maternal line and he is the oldest foal of the new sire and a 3 yr old unraced at 2
not suggesting he isn't or wont be a nice horse but i suspect he is not staked to the hambeltonian

Fair, with the exception that he don't know how he's bred.  Could just be all trot.

Let's see track picks low odds everyone's  gonna key what if the go fast and hes last gets parked then what not the win will be 2,3, then last week slow half three breakers was easy Stearns everyone' else no horse left. I'll pass at 2/5 if I'm wrong so be it

nice horse no doubt, a gelding of moderate breeding
just beat a field of 3 yr fillies , some mares and some average horses
154.4 is a nice mile, would be about  the 78th fastest mile by a 3 yr old trotter(both sexes) so far in 2020
needs to drop a couple of seconds to be even considered

I believe he's only staked to OSS program and the Dream Of Glory trotting series at Hanover.
That series starts this weekend but Walker says he'll skip it and concentrate on OSS.

firhill, read page 3....

Gotcha.

I was going off the following post where you thought he got a cheap win and wasn;t even worth $100k

IMO 75-100 best

remember that 2 nice trotters jumped at the start and left him a clear path

He definitely closed with a nice kick but not a 200k kick

Here is the program....he is in the last race

Trevor Henry was top driver here for 4 years..he knows every inch of the track

They went in 1:53.3 ....3 year old trotters on a 1/2 mile track...a track record and Canadian Record

And he had the 8 hole....and had to go around / watch out for  2 breaking horses
When Trevor knew he couldn't catch the first 2 horses...he did not gut his trotter.....aka Joe BONGO

The OSS does have some very nice 3 year old trotters.........

I can't wait till they draw in same division  at Mohawk WDB

Hey good topic everyone !  ( let's keep the mom's basement and cocksucking off this thread )

Yes - he was carried wide into first turn
Yes - he had the 8 hole
Yes - it was a track record

But - He did slide into the 5 hole pretty decently.... He did sit till past the half and had live cover to follow.

Yet - he looked like at no point was he a threat to pass the top two at any point.

Flip the post positions and give him the rail --- does he win maybe, but I doubt as impressively....

Next start should be interesting..... I hope he does well, good story and horse to follow.

There are 5 very nice horses in that field.  Hayek, Hot Weelz, Moon Bridge and HP Theo are all as  good as - or close - as Pemberton.

Pemberton's just got that 'off the pace' fan appeal.  He's good but those first 3 wins were all cupcake trips.  He WAS impressive the race he blew by Hayek in late July.

They're all close enough that to me it's all trip and pace.  I'd bet any of them at the right number if they race back at Mohawk, especially Moon Bridge.

This is such a nice colt and so well managed. I like HP Royal Theo, but this colt is just better. The only thing I can poke holes in, he's been so conservatively managed I am not sure he can carve out his own trip. Maybe he can and they just haven't made him do so.

This leads me to the next logical breeders question - is he an anomaly amongst the Wheeling and Dealins? Hot Wheelz is another decent one. If you were breeding Canadian trotters who would u go wth for value?

What a nice colt.

Still wondering what happened to HP Royal Theo who might've been able to stay with him a bit, but the way he drew off, no one was beating him tonight.

He is a little bitty thing. As a gelding I'm sure he is moving to the open ranks next year. Hope he continues to do well.
