golf is correct
with many many owners on a horse (10,20,30 or more) no one has enough clout to make a decision for all the others so it defaults to amac even though he likely has no shares in the horse so he does what is likely best for his interests in the stable to keep people paying

As far as tax reporting goes if your in America with shares of horses with the stable there are no 1099's nothing that shows ownership and yes if AM buys 800k who's writing what off with any proof? All true on not being able to know or contact the partners. There is a message board which really isn't used. Was frowned upon by AM when it went up because people would air some grievances with poor racing performance. I suppose if someone started a thread other owners could participate but it's not used much. He has total control of keeping the rats. Notice he doesn't sell on auction anymore because his horses couldn't catch a live bid. So now priced on the board which never gets lowered and they never get sold. 3 or 4 months of more poor racing, no money, more charges and owners left with a falling asset. If the horse ever sells it will be at an much lower price and the Bill's will net it to a lose. If you can't cut the fat when it's time your a POOR manager of money when it's not yours. That's what makes this thread 108 pages long. The guy is a thief to his own base.

Been a while since I checked on drone day since the 3yr olds aren't droning yet. Markets have been keeping my attention. So the first four races 27 trotters 13 breakers wow almost 50%. Race 6 five trotters at the end of the mile just 1 stayed flat. Race 8 Threepointbluechi p sure hands AM set that off stride early as well. But the CEO said a good day after all.  ngc3

i know there are some instances where a $150 k yearling is no good and a $20 k yearling is a champion but most times you get what you pay for
some going to ohio sale in feb, must be really bad , but they probably cost $15 k

Thestable premise is entertainment and transparency...to a point. Give the owners a look every two weeks at their babies training down. What it gives the owner is 100% view of their horse shares vs the BS of trainer saying horse looks like 1.0m bucks. Goes well and very smart. Here you get to read between those lines. Horse can't trot a lick, has no heart, when asked to go is empty. For that transparency the stable tacked on a monthly fee for Curtis to drone and whatever expenses to it. Those would remember when that minimum went up. Sad part you would hope it was pro rated because it's 6 months of the year. Once it is time for qualifiers that charge is padded to the bill.

So in the spirit of transparency I wouldn't mind this. They aren't robots. They're gonna make breaks or have bad days training down (and racing for that matter).
I guess if you wanted to make an argument against doing it, it would actually be more self-serving to AM, because you are going to have novice owners want to jump ship after watching one of theirs break or train poorly.
