If the stories are true, Clay Horner was the cause of the Ontario Government pulling the plug on the slots up there. Clay was the Chair of the WEG compensation committee & was allegedly allowing copious amounts of money flow into David Wilmonts pockets. A whistleblower informed the Government & in turn the Government ask to see the books. Wilmont said go fuck yourself we don't have to show them. The Government said no no, you go fuck yourself & invoked the clause in the slots contract which allowed the Government to let the contract to expire. Clay likes to pretend he is the captain of integrity but it appears the Government of the day did not see it that way. It seems that he & his greedy cronies were way to greedy for their own good & caused the largest loss of horse peoples purse money in the history of the spot.
