Saw him fight live three x. In his pre-title days. He was a destroyer then. When I was in college, used to run into him in Albany.

Last fight I saw on ppv was against holyfield. Didn't look to good that night. Got a free meal though!

You have to be real special to pull a comeback in the fight game and the odds are against you unless your comeback is all fixed.

His likely hand picked opponent could beat him easily also.

The one fight I saw at the colonie coliseum - I can't remember the exact yr was with my 2 brothers.  The place couldn't have held more than 2500 people.

Tyson was fighting a tall (had to be 6'4 )black dude who I believe was from Trinidad. This Trinidad  fighter came out and was moving all around the ring. At some point Tyson knocked him down and when the guy got up hit him with body shots that sounded like someone had taken a baseball bat and at high speed just whacked an oak tree. Fight didn't last long.

I think your right. Ali the best I ever seen. Unbelievable ring sense, speed, best top level boxer at taking a punch. Fantastic jab and could hit.  Would frustrate Mike and wouldn't be intimidated in the least by him.

Good fight would be Tyson and Foreman at their primes.

Tyson was a beast though. King was corrupting influence on every boxer that got involved with though arum wasnt much better.

Tyson vs Foreman an excellent show agreed...edge to Foreman for me, having owned the highest knockout ratio in history at the time, as I recall, and a very powerful hitter like Mike.

Saw a few Chuvalo fights on TV (musta been wide world of sports) my recollection is of a guy that could take a lot of punishment. His face was always swollen after a few rounds. Had some talent in addition to his toughness but looks like the only upper tier boxer he beat was quarry which was a controversial knockout.

Doesn't look like Georgie was ever knocked out himself but suffered a few tkos. Fought Ali (2x), Frazier, Patterson (ring magazine 1965 fight of yr), Jimmy Ellis, buster mathias, Foreman...

Looks like this guy is going to actually fight. No disrespect but wouldn't draw my $. For free I'd watch but unless it's another old dude Mike is likely to wind up on canvas. Suppose a real puncher always has a chance though 50 plus age may test that thought.

I used to get A lot of the Tysons PPV's back in the day. I was always against him. I was always for under-Dog fighters. I loved the Buster Douglas fight. I put the phone by the Tv so my Brother could listen to it at work with his buddies at a planer shop in Ferndale Mi. I now really like Mike Tyson. I actually saw him live at MGM casino a few years ago and He was great! I hope he kicks some ass...
