WE need to race to pay our bills. Seems to be going fine at Gulfstream and Tampa. Lets hope the folks at Pompano are the first to go back up. There are normally 15 people in the stands so we can extend our social distancing to 50 feet. The paddock will be empty. This will give us the chance to get ready to ship when New York, Pa, and Mass. settle down by June 1.

Pompano area is the NYC of the South. Coronavirus rampant. Pompano has a big chance of never opening again.

I think the whole country will open back up at the end of April beginning of May. Racing included. Trump can’t stand seeing all his hard work fixing this country and it’s economy going to shit bc of the Chinese virus. So first week of May I’m thinking we’re racing

tracks with barns and dorms if there are enough horses to race and no ones got a positive virus test why not?
the flats are running in a few places.   same people around same horses got to be there to take care of them anyways.  right now nothing is consistaint. cal ex  closed. sant anita, then golden gate but los amitos quarter horses going. 1 state. 1 track open and other 3 closed 1 by 1 not at same time. crazy.

gulf stream has been racing through it all
and one of the top jockeys had covid 19 last week and they are still racing
to be clear there is no doubt areas around new york and new jersey will be delayed based on the rampant spread
but some areas are not so bad

EZ, Big boy - if the state sanctioning agency works w/ harness ass-o-ciations.  there is no reason that they can't get flexible, reduce the number of races, separate the paddock people and giddy-up.  the simulcast would be outta sight.  AND, the horsemen-women should be temperate checked when they arrive.  The problem is, for every industry in the country, that people want to do it like they've always done it.
